What is Manual D?

Manual D (Residential Duct Design): Manual D is a Technical Manual produced by ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America). It outlines and sets forth the procedures for properly sizing the ductwork needed to move air throughout a home. It discusses duct material, the amount of air moved, friction rates and air velocities. This very brief explanation is intended to give you an idea of what is involved in designing a proper duct system or Duct Design.
